Vintage crochet sacque

I just love crochet!  SO easy to pick up where you left off.  I always have a project going to keep me busy when the kids want to play by themselves (which is starting to occur more often than I could have imagined over these past 5 years).

What am I working on now? Well, I stumbled upon a vintage crochet and knitting book and just had to try one of the patterns.  I was so curious to know how the shell was made.

Such a beautiful sweater!  I have been working on it for the past few days, and am already almost done! Here is a sneak peek of my version.

I choose a Bernat Softee Baby yarn in Soft Red. I really love how it is turning out.  Even more exciting is that there are two different matching caps and booties, too!
