Quilting update

The pattern I choose is called Hot Tamale by Emily Owens of Tessuti Zoo.  I came across the pattern in the Perfect for Precuts magazine, all patterns meant to be made from fat quarters, strips & squares.  A great beginner pattern magazine for someone like me!

I have almost finished my top. Yay!  The pieced rows are complete and I am working on joining them together with the sashing and border strips.

I choose to use the dark polka-dot fabric I showed you here for my sashing and border strips.  I really can't wait to see it complete.  I am so thankful for the Quilt Class 101 at Chasing Cottons!  It is the motivation I needed to check off my list something I always wanted to do. Thank you!
