I have still been working on my blocks for the CAL these past two weeks. The blocks are working up very well. You can see more pictures about Clue #1 and Clue #2 here.
I am finding that it is much easier to use the charts after the first few rows, however, if any of you are becoming frustrated. Personally, I have never really used the charts before so it was fun to realize how useful they really are!
Clue #3 has a wonderful transition from the star to the final hexagon shape. Many thoughts are going through my head as to what I can use this for in the future. :) This block really taught me a new technique, my reason for joining this CAL.
Clue #4 is the only clue that uses the Fresh Flower bright pink. I just love how the popcorn stitches were chosen for this clue. It really adds great texture and the color makes those popcorn stitches really pop!
Playing with the layout and mixing the pieces is the best part. Don't you think?
You can see more details on my Ravelry page.

I love your colours. I am a bit disappointed with mine...perhaps I will have to make another one. Louise x
ReplyDeleteThank you! So far so good. I am excited to see how the next two clue's will change the look of the colors though. Do you think the main color will be more dominant? Right now, all of the colors seem to be equal... hang in there!
