I really, really love how this blanket turned out!
I did make a few modifications from the original CAL. First, my layout is slightly different to make it more symmetrical. I must have symmetry. :)
Second, I added an additional round on the border. I used a variant of the cluster from Clue #6 to soften the edge a bit more and give it a little more bulk. I really love how it added to the femininity of the blanket.
I was really sweating and near tears towards the end though. I almost ran out of my main color of yarn. Phew! I made it!
Now, just need to figure out who to give it to..... a giveaway perhaps?
You can see all of the details of this project on my ravelry page.

Beautiful! I love the lavendars/purples.
ReplyDeleteI love your afghan - colors chosen, pattern choice for the finished look, edging - all of it. You get my vote in any and all categories.
ReplyDeleteI ripped out my entire afghan because I didn't like how the colors were going together - and I had already done 4 rows of edging. I am now using the yarn in a different afghan...maybe I'll make some of the squares from the CAL to mix in :-)
DeleteIf you want, you can send me your afghan & I will be very, very happy!! **LOL**
Wow!!! I love this blanket!! I start following your blog immediately.

Beautiful! I would have to display it as a table runner or a wall hanging so I could admire and could be admired by friends. Beautiful design.
